The Christmas Tag

Seen as it's Christmas Eve and the big guy will already be making his way around the world delivering gifts it's obviously the perfect time to share The Christmas Tag. So I'm sharing with you my excitement for the big day tomorrow and wishing you all a Merry Christmas...
1. On a scale of 1-10 how much are you in the Christmas mood?
Christmas is always a very exciting time of the year for me, no matter how old you are it's great to get into the spirit. I'm definitely a 9, creeping up to a 10 at this point!
2. When wrapping presents is it a fail or are you a pro?
I must admit I'm a present wrapping genius, I get strangely satisfied by creasing the edges of the paper. I love using fabric bows and my bow tying is on point this year. So everyone in my family expect a neatly wrapped bow.
3. When did you put your Christmas decorations up and do you do anything special while putting them up?
As we have been having an extension done in our house this has delayed the usual tree putting up. Ours went up around the 10th of December, all in good time. It's always my job to put the angel on but this year the decorating was all my responsibility.

4. Do you get dressed up or stay in your pjs on Christmas day?
In the morning I'll be in my pyjamas whilst present opening. But it's really lovely to get dressed up for dinner and make a big occasion of it. If you can't get dressed up at Christmas when can you?
5. What would be your dream place to go during the Christmas season?
I remember one Christmas my Mum, Dad, Brother and I went to Florida. I was really against the idea as It wouldn't be like a normal Christmas but I had the best time ever. Christmas at Disney is so magical! But I'd be anywhere on Christmas as long as I was with my loved ones!
6. What is your Christmas tree decorated like?
My Christmas tree this year is god and purple with fairy lights and pretty gold bows. I've always been for a traditional tree and I hate the idea of tinsel!

7. Can you name all of Santa's Reindeers? ( without googling )
Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Cupid, Donnert and Blitzen? Is that them  all who have I missed? How many reindeers does he even have?
 8. Are you on the naughty list or the nice list this year? ( be honest )
The nice list of course :)
 9. Name three things you love to do coming up to Christmas?
1. Visiting family
2. Christmas films
3. Decorating the house!
 10. Any Christmas Wishes?
Happiness, health and good fortune for my family! We've been through a lot this year and I know Christmas without my Nanna will be tough but my family are troopers! So much love for them.
 11. Name 10 Christmas songs you love?
10 is far too many!! Let's just name a few:
1. I wish it could be Christmas
2. Fairytale of New York
3. Merry Christmas Everyone
4. Anything Buble
5. My Only Wish
12. Name 3 Christmas movies you love?
1.Home Alone
2. The Grinch
3. Jack Frost
13. Do you like white lights or coloured?
White, always!!
14. Which do you like a little better, Christmas day or Christmas eve?
This is tough. Christmas Eve I love because of the whole build up to the big day. Everyone is the festive spirit and it's a day I spend visiting family and friends. But Christmas Day is just so nice to spend time with the family, exchanging gifts and just a real happy time!
15. What is your favourite Christmas make-up look to wear?
For Christmas I usually like a gold eye with a red lipstick but not Christmas dinner! Go check out my last post which has my Christmas Party makeup tutorial!
16. Right now as you're answering these questions, how long is it till Christmas?
Well it's 20:12 which means Santa will be coming in 3 hours!
17. Do you have any present you open before Christmas day?
Being a teacher I get presents from children at school, usually chocolates and mugs. They're the only ones I open!
18. Name three things on your Christmas list?
1. Breville Blend Active
2. A new hairdryer
3. Happiness :)
19. Your having a down day, Your not in the Christmas mood. What do you do to change your mood and become Christmas happy?
Watch a good Christmas film, usually a classic home alone or Jingle All The Way. Or play a few Christmas tunes and play some silly games with the family. Today we played the game from Celebrity juice which is like word association but you can't show your teeth... hilarious!
20. What is the best thing on your plate when you have your Christmas dinner?
As a none-red meat eater, definitely not the pigs in blankets. Usually a few roasts and carrots... how exciting am I!!
I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Tag. Let me know if you've done any Christmas posts as I'd love to check them out! I wish you all such a Merry Christmas and hope you all have the happiest day! xxx

Glamorous Waves with The Cloud Nine Wand | Planet Hair & Beauty

I was recently asked by my favourite hair salon, Planet Hair and Beauty, to go along and try their new Cloud Nine Curling Wand. Having heard so much about this range and so many raving reviews of the Touch Straighteners and The O, I knew this tool wasn't going to disappoint.
Matrix Oil Wonders Oil | £12.99 | Shampoo | £7.95 | Conditioner | £8.95 | Available at Planet Hair & Beauty *
After having my hair washed with the New Matrix Oil Wonders range, which by the way smells absolutely amazing! My hairdresser then ran the Matrix Oil Wonders Indian Alma Strengthening Oil through the lengths of my hair, which was soon to make my hair glisten but also deliver optimum softness and strength. This oil is definitely on my wish list, I can't even begin to describe how amazing it smelt, like an expensive perfume but with the undertones of ginger and spice! After a quick blow dry, my hair was perfectly prepped, smelling amazing and ready to go.
The Cloud Nine Wand | £99.95 | Available at Planet Hair & Beauty *
The wand itself is definitely aesthetically pleasing, sleek and comes beautifully packaged. Heat control is easy with the 3 level temperature setting, allowing you to create tight vintage curls or more softer glamorous waves. The good thing about wands is just how easy and versatile they are to use! Another bonus is that it comes with a heat glove, so burnt skin (something I know too well about) will be a thing of the past. The wand heats up super quick and is definitely easier than a clamp barrel. My hairdresser created these beautiful, effortless waves by curling and spraying with hairspray as she went along. Then leaving the hair to cool before brushing out the curls into soft, beautiful waves. I feel like I have hair from a magazine! Never did I think my hair would look so glamorous and shiny.
Cloud Nine Touch Straighteners | £95.99 | Available at Planet Hair and Beauty*
Another product in the range is the Cloud Nine Touch Straightener, an award winning iron with mineral infused plates that glide smoothly through the hair, resulting in beautifully conditioned and highly polished locks. Also beautifully packaged with the cutest little black and blue limited edition heatproof style case.

Have you tried any of The Cloud Nine range? What are your favourite styling tools?

Hi lovelies! Hope you've all enjoyed the first week of December. With Christmas in under 3 weeks I'm sure many of us have already got some of our Christmas presents. But for those of you who just don't know what to buy your loved ones or want some beauty bits for your own wishlists I've put together some of my favourite beauty picks! From lipsticks to hair products, there's definitely something for you beauty lovers out there.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons Gift Set | £16.00 | link
I love how soap and glory describe their lip products as like a push up bra for your lips! This set consists of three gorgeous glosses, one a bright pink, one orange and a beautiful berry. Perfect for all year round!
WAH London The Nail Edit Dreamy Days Kit | £23.00 | link
The ultimate nail gift set from the ultimate nail salon. If you follow their instagram you'll know what I mean. This kit comes with everything you need to create beautiful nails with 3 pastel colours, palm tree and peace stickers and sponges (to create the ombre nail look).
Bumble and Bumble Make it Big Set | £21.50 | link
A great gift set for any type of hair, complete with a full size Thickening Hairspray with a 50ml Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. This would be amazing to create big New Years Eve hair!
Origins Let Us Glow Gift Set | £30.00 | link
This is such a lovely skin and beauty set with the original energy-boosting moisturiser and refreshing eye cream. But with the added bonus of a pretty berry lip balm and brightening mascara in a cute little makeup bag. The essential set for all you glow-getters.
Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Powder Set | £29.50 | link

In my opinion the best gift set from Benefit but also the hardest ever to get your mitts on! It features a set of 6 blushes including: hoola, dandelion, CORAlista, watts' up, bella bamba, rockateur and sugarbomb. The ultimate blush set for when you don't know what colour to choose! The set also includes watt's up soft-focus highlighter to illuminate your cheekbones too!
Mac Lipstick | £15.00 | link
Mac make the best lipsticks and there are so many shades you're bound to find one for Christmas! My picks would be rebel (a deep vampy purple), ruby woo (a perfect red for Christmas) or impassioned (a gorgeous pink).
Nars Virtual Domination Cheek Palette | £45.00 | link
Definitely a luxury Christmas gift rather than a stocking filler but look how beautiful it is! It includes 'three natural-looking shades that enliven the complexion; create the ultimate healthy glow with the Bronzing Powder; and give skin a light-reflecting radiance with the Highlighting Blush.' With some of Nars' best sellers such as laguna and deep throat it's a great palette which if you were to buy the products separate it would equate to £117!
TIGI Dumb Blonde Gift Pack | £19.95 | link
Bed Head make some of my favourite hair products and many a times I have used this set. Specially designed for blonde hair (they do have a brunette set too) it aims to repair and rejuvenate blonde colour treated hair. The perfect products for those who have highlighted or colour treated hair.
Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set | £56.95 | link
This has been on my own wish list for a while but I keep convincing myself I don't need any more brushes! But it's a great set for those who are wanting a whole new brush set or their first ever set. Beautifully finished with rose gold handles too, dreamy!
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Coded Eyeshadow Palette | £38.00 | link
The Charlotte Tilbury collection is just beautiful, so much so that I struggled to only pick one product from their range. The packaging is gorgeous and CT certainly knows how to create brilliant products. This palette (the glamour muse) is part of the colour coded range which are designed to suit different eye colours.  But look how beautiful the shades are, you should definitely check out the other palettes. I know I'd be super happy unwrapping this on Christmas day.
Lush Festive Friends Gift Set | £14.50 | link
Lush have so many amazing gift sets, boxed up, beautifully wrapped and ready to go! This gift set is perfect for me, consisting of two bubble bars and two bath bombs, Christmassy themed of course. If you're more into their soaps or massage bars though these are included in some of the other boxes. There's so many to choose from so you'll definitely find one for you or your loved ones!
I hope you all enjoyed this beauty gift guide. Are any of these picks on your own Christmas lists? What are your top beauty picks for Christmas?

November Favourites

Hi lovelies! I'm very sorry this video was so late, I've been having quite a few problems with uploading recently, why does it take so long! Anyhow, it's here! I promised you in October that I'd be bringing you a video for my November favourites so here it is. November has been a good month for me beauty wise but skin wise not so good. By this I'm meaning how dry my skin has suddenly got and how much moisturising I've been doing recently. I explain it all in the video below. Hope you enjoy and leave me comments for what Christmas videos and blog posts you'd like to see!

Maybelline | The Eraser Eye Perfect & Cover Concealer

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Perfect & Cover Concealer | £7.99
Finally, I managed to get my hands on this little beauty. I've seen it used so many time before in youtuber tutorials but whenever I went in store I would just find the well used testers sitting on the lonely stand. So the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer is finally mine and I've definitely put it to good use the past few weeks.

It's packaged in a neat little plastic tube but unlike other concealers, it comes with a twist dispenser and sponge. Now I don't use the sponge to blend my concealer in but it is a nifty little idea. The best thing about this concealer is the coverage. I don't have terrible dark circles but I do get them and I just find this to be perfect at concealing my under eye area. The best part being that it actually lasts all day too, so I don't have to worry about my dark circles. The creamy formula means that it's super moisturising too without sticking to any dry areas or sinking into any creases. I've also put it to the test with concealing blemishes and even though it isn't as thick as my usual Collection concealer it does the trick very well. It's the perfect concealer to hide those spots which are drying up because it doesn't sit on your dry patches and make them really obvious!

The shade range isn't great though. I got the colour 'nude' which was the darkest out of nude and light. I'm not particularly dark skinned, though this is the perfect shade for me. I would like to try the light one though to use as a highlighter. At £7.99 it's definitely affordable and I'd happily repurchase.
Have you tried this concealer? What's your favourite conealers for dark circles or blemishes?

Christmas Gift Guide | The Fitness Edit

With Christmas very quickly approaching and new years resolutions soon to be on the cards I thought I'd share with you my Top Fitness Christmas Gifts! For all those who may have some fitness fanatics in their family or want some ideas for their own Christmas wish list! I've tried to include some of the basics that everybody should have in their life, you'll definitely thank me come January 1st!

1. My Protein Foam Roller | £10.79 | link
Foam rolling is such an important part of exercise and recovery. I must admit I am guilty of not being a regular roller but I try to make up for it with the stretching I do. Foam rolling is great to relieve muscle aches and pains, especially for runners who get terrible shin splints (like myself). There are so many youtube videos out there too, explaining the techniques to use for different areas. I for one will have this on my Christmas list. My protein have also asked me to include a link to their brilliant discount and voucher codes page here.
2. Nike Diamond Iphone 5 Running Band | £22.50 | link
So maybe this is quite pricey for a running armband but trust me it's worth it. The amount of armbands I went through before I finally purchased this one. It's so comfortable doesn't move at all and is super easy to use. I must warn you though, the armband is quite small, for me it's fine but if you have quite a large upper arm you might need to try the men's one.
3. Incredible by Victoria's Secret Sport Bra | £33 | link
Definitely this best sports bras I have ever tried! They're the comfiest, securest yet stylish sports bras I've found. They give you a lot of support but also look rather amazing under your gym vest. They're most certainly worth the pennies and because they're like bra sizing, the fit is perfect, much better than any sports bra brands I've tried.
4.  Polar M400 GPS Heart Rate Monitor | £157 | link
I had to include a techy gift in this post and this was the obvious choice. Polar are like the Daddy of all fitness watches. This one in particular can track pace, distance and altitude and can help you find your way home with the built in GPS. It also works as a trainer where you can play, syn and share your training whilst setting yourself targets to conquer your PBs. The heart rate monitor also means you can train at the right intensity for your personal goals. Any fitness bunny would be ecstatic with this baby!
5. Breville Blend Active | £19.50 | link
Now this is something I've got on my own list to Santa this year. A much more reasonably priced alternative to the Nutri bullet. A great little blender which mixes and blends up a one-person portion of smoothie, juice or sports drink. I'm already planning all the brilliant smoothies I'll be making!!
6. Nike X Liberty Trainers | £95 | link
Now what an amazing collab this is. The style and comfort of Nike with the beautiful design and print by Liberty. Obviously on the pricey side but these are just such amazing trainers! I obviously wouldn't be running 10miles in them but they'd be great for the gym and also on your daily commute or shopping spree!!
7. Nike Training Kit | £22.50 | link
This is a great kit for those who don't have pricey gym memberships or would much rather workout in the comfort of their own home. Resistance bands have been playing a great part in my workouts recently and there are so many youtube videos of how to use them effectively. Skipping is great to raise your heartbeat and burn off a few Christmas chocolates!
8. Yurbuds Inspire Talk In-Ear Headphones | £21 | link
I've raved so much about these headphones before, even writing a review here. They're just a brilliant idea, they stay in your ears through wind, rain and even when you pull on them. These ones are great because they have the one-touch control and microphone which makes it easier to use when running or working out. I urge you all to purchase!!

What fitness picks have you got on your wishlist? Will you be getting these for any of your loved ones?

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette | £22
Hey lovely people. I first of all need to thank you all so much for the huge support you gave me with my first ever youtube video! Today I filmed my 2nd video which should hopefully be going up this week, hopefully by Wednesday! Today though, I'm bringing you a very exciting product review ft. The Naked Basics 2 Palette which I recently purchased from cohorted for only £15.40!! It's no longer for sale but if you haven't used cohorted before you need to check it out, they have some amazing products listed at the mo.
So if you haven't seen the Naked palette before the first one was a selection of warm matte shades whereas the second palette is cool matte shades, I feel this suits my skin colouring much better which is why I waited for them to release a cool palette. The first thing that struck me about this palette was the beautiful Matte packaging. It's just so sleek and luxurious, urban decay I praise you!! It's obviously nowhere near as big as the original Naked palette but makes it much easier for travel and storage. Inside alongside a handy mirror you will find 6 beautiful cool toned matte shades.
Skimp is a yellow toned shadow, one of those colours I'd chose to highlight with and for use in the inner crease. Stark is more of a matte nude pink which would make a lovely eyeshadow base. Frisk is such a nice grey matte shade which would look great as a subtle crease colour. Cover is slightly red toned but again this would be a perfect cut crease colour. Primal would work great for darker brows and is a muted brown matte. Undone is the darkest in the palette a deep, smokey brown which would look great as smudged liner or to create a brown smokey eye.
Overall, this palette is just amazing. Every shade reminds me of the Kylie Jenner eye look which her look is obviously huge right now! It's the perfect handbag size and would be great for you ladies who don't want glittery 'out there' eye makeup. The shadows are brilliant quality and you only need the slightest on your brush, a little definitely goes a long way. I wouldn't expect anything from else from Urban Decay and I'm very impressed! I think one of my next videos will definitely be an Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics look!
Have you tried the Naked 2 Basics Palette? What's your favourite shadow?

Real Techniques: Miracle Complexion Sponge

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge | £3.83
Recently I posted about the Real Techniques Nic's Picks Brush Set and it was such a popular post! I'm so thankful for all the comments and bloglovin likes all you lovely people left me so thank you so much. Following the popularity of that post I thought I'd review the miracle complexion sponge which I purchased in the same order. As I said before, I purchased the brushes through the realtechniques.com website which worked out so much cheaper than other shops and online stores even including  p&p.

Using a sponge to apply makeup was something quite new to me but after seeing how many people raved about the beauty blender I knew I had to try something similar. Although I can't compare the two sponges I can say that this one is considerably cheaper and easy to get your hands on. The design of this sponge makes it easy to apply both concealer and foundation. One end is pointed which makes it perfect for under eyes and the flat and domed side are both good for all over application.  The best way to use this sponge is by soaking it in water then squeezing the excess out and using it damp. It blends makeup seamlessly into my skin but the downside is that it takes forever to dab the foundation in. I have found that this works perfectly with contouring to blend cream concealers in perfectly without dragging your contour and highlight into each other. It's a great little tool which I'd recommend to those of you who don't mind spending a little bit more time blending on a morning or who want a flawlessly blended base.

Have you tried this miracle complexion sponge before? What are your thoughts on beauty blenders?
P.S I filmed my first youtube video this weekend! So keep your eyes peeled for it!

Fitness Friday | Coconut Joy with My Protein

I was recently contacted by myprotein.com to ask if I'd like to try some of their products. Myprotein is a brand I haven't come across before and with my love of fitness I was so keen to try their range. They don't just stock protein powders, infact their products range from protein waters to snack bars and vitamins and capsules. As I have a huge obsession with coconut I had to try their Chocolate Coconut Whey Protein Powder and also their Coconpure Coconut Oil.
*My Protein | Impact Whey Protein | £12.79 for 1kg
A common misconception is that protein powders will make you look like Popeye. This is definitely not true, it takes a hell of a lot of work for us women to build mass muscle and drinking protein isn't going to do it for you. In fact research has found that protein can actually help to reduce body fat therefore aiding weight loss. But anyway that's not my goal, I take protein to help control my protein intake (as I don't eat any red meats) but also to help with recovery. I was a little unsure about the flavours at first as in the past I've tried protein shakes which were vile. But with this one I needn't worry, it tastes absolutely amazing and so much nicer and healthier than any chocolate bar. You can also buy the smaller sample sachets, like above, before committing to the larger pouch. It was really easy to mix up and I didn't end up with any lumps. I can't wait to try some of the other flavours in the range such as; rocky road, chocolate peanut butter and jam roly poly (yes you read that right).
*My Protein | Coconpure Coconut Oil | £9.99 for 460g
The second product I tried was their 100% organic Coconpure Coconut Oil. Coconut oils play a big part in my diet and I used them for cooking, frying and even in smoothies. They're a healthy alternative to your usual oils with unique saturated fat content making it the healthiest dietary oil around. As expected it's brilliant, really easy to scoop out  (use a spoon) with a great taste and I know the size of this will last me such a long time making it great value! Go check out there product range here.
Do you use protein powders as part of your diet? Have you come across my protein before?

Glowing Winter Skin | Balance Me Face Oil

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil | £30.00 for 30ml | link
As the temperature here in England has finally began to drop this means time for the central heating to be turned up and wrapping up warm in snuggly jumpers. But with the cold, brisk Winter air comes dry skin, suffering from both the cold and sudden change in temperatures as you step into a snug house! I find that in Winter time my skin suddenly changes to the 'very dry' skin category. Flaking around my cheeks and in-between my eyebrows is all too common. One way I look at controlling this is through my skin care by using thicker moisturisers and overnight creams. However one little beauty I have come across is the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil.
Previously if you would have told me to put an oil on my face I would've thought you were plain old silly. But after using cleansing oils and butters and seeing the difference they've made to my skin I was more than willing to give it a go. This is a much smaller version of the 30ml bottle which Balance Me sell, which I believe came in my Glamour beauty box a few months ago. As it's a smaller bottle it comes in a roll on which makes it super easy to roll on straight to those dry areas of my face.

The oil is designed to be applied morning and night, I apply a moisturiser over the top too to lock in moisture and because it's so light it absorbs quickly into my skin. The oil itself is packed with conditioning moringa and camellia oils along with calming Roman chamomile, yarrow and benzoin which is said to enhance skin of all ages and types. It has a beautiful scent too with a delicious orange blossom aroma which is a bit of a pick me up on a morning!

I'd definitely recommend this not just for dry skin but for all types of skin. It works great at protecting your skin from the brisk air but also rehydrating skin on a night time. Which means on a morning you wake up with beautifully soft, glowing skin. It is quite expensive at £30 but you only need 2 drops for the whole of your face, so it will last such a long time.
What do you use on your face throughout the Winter months?

October Favourites

First of all, I cannot believe we are in November. Christmas trees are going up in stores, festive gift sets and gift guides are popping up everywhere and the temperature has suddenly plummeted. Did I blink and miss the last two months? If you're a regular reader, you'll have noticed I didn't post my monthly favourites for September. Photographing monthly favourites isn't something I enjoy, I spend far too much time worrying and playing about with the product positioning and just never feel satisfied. I think next month you'll be seeing a video in the place of a blog post, I can't wait to get filming now that I've sorted my lighting out. Anyway, onto my top beauty picks for last month...
Sleek I-Divine Eyeshadow Pallette in Storm | link
Like most bloggers and beauty lovers I know, the Naked palettes are my go to eyeshadows for most occasions. But recently I decided to try something a little different in the form of this beauty. I have been loving the cranberry shades for Autumn and the other day I used the blue colours to create the most stunning navy smoky eye. The colours are very pigmented and have very little fall out. For 12 beautiful eyeshadows, 3 of which are matte all for £7.99 it's such great value.

Real Techniques Duo Fibre Face Brush | link
If you saw my review of the Real Techniques limited edition Nic's Picks set, you'll have seen how much I raved about these brushes. With it's soft fibres and perfect application the duo-fibre face brush is definitely one of my favourite brushes. The whole range is stunning with the matte black handles and silver finish but I just cannot believe how soft this brush is. I think you can only get it as part of the set but I'm sure they released a duo-fibre brush collection too.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob | link
This is the most perfect lip liner I have ever come across. It's one of those my lips but better shades which works perfectly to outline and even fill in my lips. It's a twist up style liner which makes it so easy to use and gives great volume and definition to my lips. It's the perfect consistency to apply and doesn't drag your lips, for only £3.99 I definitely think I'm going to try the other colours out.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer | link
Now I don't have oily skin nor is my skin really dry at the minute. But I do get dry patches in between my eyebrows and on my cheeks. Even though my current foundation is brilliant it does love to cling on to those little bits of dry skin. This is where this primer has really helped to create a flawless base for my foundation to glide on seamlessly. It's also helped my makeup to last longer and has meant I don't need to powder areas as much!

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm | link
After my bad patch of perioral dermatitis I swore I wouldn't use Vaseline or other lip products with a base of petroleum jelly. But with the colder weather drawing in I needed something to protect my lips against the harsh weather, especially when I go running. Having heard great things about Nuxe I decided to purchase their 20th anniversary lip balm. It's made up of beeswax, butters and vegetable oils meaning is much kinder to lips and has the nicest buttery texture which smells just amazing. I'd recommend this to anyone suffering with dry or chapped lips this Winter.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter | link
This body butter is a creamy, velvety and thick cream which I use twice daily! It's a really intense butter which instantly leaves your skin feeling moisturised and I must add smelling amazing! With skin softening shea butter and aloe vera it really is my Winter skin saviour. The scent it gives is off beautiful, with floral but fruity tones yet it's not too overpowering. Soap and Glory products make the perfect gifts for Christmas, you definitely need to go check out their range!
So these are my favourites for the month of October. What were your monthly favourites?

A Belated Halloween: Hollywood Glamour

Hi lovelies. I hope you've all had fun celebrating Halloween over the weekend and that tonight you're all warming yourselves around a bonfire or admiring the fireworks. I do love this time of year but the loud bangs and screeches send my poor dog crazy. At the weekend I went to my friends party then we headed out into town for a few drinks. Halloween for me usually meant dressing up as a cat or a witch but I've never done the whole open wound liquid latex and vampire blood look. For me it was so much fun creating this look. I wanted to go for a Hollywood glamour makeup look, with smokey navy eyes and a bold red lip. My bullet hole was created with liquid latex then filled in with eyeliner, purple lipstick and a lot of blood! I already can't wait for next years Halloween tutorials.

Perfect Glowing Skin With Karora

I was recently contacted by a company new to myself named Karora, asking if I would be interested in trying their range. After doing my research I knew this was the right brand for me as I'm always looking for new ways to achieve and maintain glowy bronzed skin. If like me you're new to this brand then this is a little bit about the brand from the emerald isle: 'Karora is an award winning custom colour skinwear collection suitable for any occassion, benefits the skin and smells divine'. They specialise in a range of fake-tans and CC cream suited to your desired colour outcome.
Express Bronzing Mousse | £24.27*   CC Cream | £20.82*
I was sent the express bronzing mousse and cc cream. Both products come in the prettiest purple packaging which I found very appealing. The packaging for the products themselves is also lovely with a matte feel and very easy to use with instructions for both. I've used a range of different tans before, the last one being xen-tan which is so good so I was definitely expecting a lot from Karora.
The Express Bronzing Mousse is a moisturising mousse designed to give you that bronze colour in just 1 hour. I decided to take the longer option in order to gain a much deeper bronze, so I left mine on for 3 hours. You can see in the photo above my legs straight after the application, for the after results wait for my next post where I show off my new tan. The scent is rather strange, it's not the usual biscuit tan smell but smells very clean, much like fairy liquid infact! It's super easy to apply and I had zero streaks. I've had issues with mousse tans in the past as they've stuck to my dry skin but the oils in this such as rosemary leaf, lemon and grapefruit oil left my skin feeling moisturised with a citrus fresh scent! Very happy with the colour pay off and an overall lovely formula.

The CC Cream is a product I was dying to try as it's not just for your face but for your body too. The first thing I noticed about this cream is the fruity scent, oh my gosh it's just amazing! The self adjusting and blendable formula evens out skin tone and enhances your natural colour while providing brilliant coverage that reduces redness and hyper pigmentation. . I must admit it looks great on my face and I've been wearing it on a daily basis but it also works so well on your legs. It remind me of the results you get from the Sally Hansen airbrushed legs. I'm so impressed with this multi-use cream and it's great for those who are looking for perfect skin rather than bronzed.

I hope to try more from this brand and hopefully will see it popping up in other shops and drugstores. In the UK the current stockists are:  John Bell & Croyden and Lloyds Pharmacy (who have an offer on Karora right now) but you can check out other stockists and buy online at karoracosmetics.com.
Have you tried Karora cosmetics? What's your favourite tanning brand?
