Maybelline Colour Tattoo | Cream Gel Eyeshadow

Cream eyeshadows are something I've never tried before. Being happy with normal powder eyeshadow I didn't feel a need for it in my life. I saw these on offer in my local boots recently and I swatched them on my hand and fell in love. The smooth gel like texture is amazing and so pigmented for a cream/gel solution. I picked up On and On Bronze and Metallic Pomegranate, knowing that the bronze one would be a perfect base for so many different looks and the pomegranate was a colour which would take me right through Autumn and great for green eyes like mine.
The packaging is beautiful and reminds me a great deal of Chanel? However, at a much more affordable price than any gel shadows I've seen before at just £4.99 each. I love the little screw pots and they're great to use with a brush or just your finger. What really did impress me was how long they stayed on. Obviously with a cream based eyeshadow it's always a good idea to prime your eyelid but I had thoughts of it being printed all over my eyebrow or smudged down beneath my eyes. Obviously this didn't happen and they didn't budge for a good 6+ hours. I can't say I've tested the '24hour' claim but who would wear eyeshadow for that long anyway? I'm so impressed with these shadows and can't wait to do a look for you all to see.
You can get these shadows from here. Have you tried these before, what are your thoughts? Can you recommend any other cream shadows?

  7. They are my favorite cream shadows ever! I saw that Maybelline released some new limited edition shades (matte ones), but I guess they will be available in USA only.

  8. I love these! The pomegranate one is a really pretty color. I am actually wearing the electric blue metallic color right now as a base under smokey eye shadow. These cream ones really help keep powder shadow on all day and I think they add an extra dimension to the color when they are blended together.
