Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

As I've said before, face oils have always scared me. Putting extra oil on my face just made me imaging waking up with oily skin and pimples everywhere! But after hearing how face oils can replenish skin whilst replacing essential oils I'm definitely converted. Especially as this time of year is hell for your skin - with the crazy weather and central heating blasting out. My poor skin suffers.
I started to take the plunge and go for one of the best selling face oils Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Described as 'a replenishing night time facial oil with distilled botanicals that visibly restores the appearance of skin by morning.' The packaging is really lovely and reminds me of old potion and medicine bottles but it's a very luxurious glass bottle with a pipette to measure out the 2-3 drops easily. One of the ingredients is lavender essential oil which gives off a really relaxing scent, I even find my Mum using this when she needs a good sleep.
Since October, I've been trying to use this every night on my face and it has definitely helped to keep my skin healthy throughout Winter. It's best to use at night time, applying 2 drops and rubbing into my skin, as this is when your skin is most effective at absorbing and locking in moisture and by morning your skin is moisturised! I've also found that on a morning my skin looks much brighter and radiant but I can't comment on the anti-aging effects, luckily I've not yet developed wrinkles. Even though I've been using it for around 3 months I'd still say there was over half a bottle left. So even though it might be pricey at £36.00 a bottle but it lasts a very long time and really does make a noticeable difference. You can buy this direct from Kiehl's or Debenhams have the occasional 10% off beauty which is always a good time to stock up!
Have you tried any face oil's before? What are your favourite products from Kiehl's?

  2. Oh I've been lusting after this for months now but the price has always something that has stopped me from picking it up. It seems to be lasting you such a long time though, I think I might have to just give in and buy one!
Great review! (even if you have enabled me to spend money hehe!)
